Summary Supervise, manage, control, and administer an organization of over 30 employees, union and non-union providing Material Maintenance Support for the Ft Huachuca Directorate of Logistics, Fort Huachuca, AZ.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position
1. Supervise daily operations of the installation maintenance activity supporting all Ft Huachiuca tennants. 2. Provide guidance and direction to all mechanics and support personnel. 3. Analyze data provided by US Army STAMIS systems and report status to the Project Manager and to customers of the maintenance support activity. 4. Attend and provide input for briefings on equipment readiness. 5. Insure a safe workplace and provide training as required to subordinates. 6. Insure quality standards are meet.

* Three years general experience in management, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work in providing services to support a specified maintenance mission. * Five years specialized experience in progressively responsible positions encompassing the following: * Understanding of program planning, funds control, data collection and analysis, and control techniques. * Broad knowledge of the organization and functions of a variety of Equipment maintenance functions to include equipment such as automotive and tactical vehicles. Education and/or Experience
* Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others. * Skill in written and oral presentations. * Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work. * Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions. * Understanding/knowledge/expertise in the Army's logistics and Maintenance systems i.e. SAAMS, ULLS Wildcat Maintenance Management System. * Understanding of the Army's Unit Status and Material Readiness Programs. * Experience planning for mobilization and reserve component logistics training and support. * Retired US Army Logistics (Ordnance, Transportation, or Quartermaster) MAJ, CW5, or CW4 or Senior Enlisted is a plus.
