Job Description:
Maintenance Technicians, both Mechanical and I&E, have the responsibility for maintaining and improving equipment with an emphasis on their personal safety and the safety of others. Technicians work a four 10 hour day schedule, are required to work overtime, carry a pager and respond to calls as necessary to support a 24 hour, seven day operation. A proven record of acceptable work performance, attendance, good housekeeping habits, strong communication skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision is required. Assignments will include working at heights and in confined spaces. Applicants must have the ability to use computer applications such as SAP and MS Office.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Repair and rebuild control valves, relief valves and other process instrumentation; perform preventive maintenance; read and interpret equipment manuals and drawings; operate shop and field equipment; use measuring equipment such as volt-ohm meters, amp meters, mega-ohm meters, Hart Communicator, and instrument calibrator; collect and interpret process data used to troubleshoot equipment problems; install blinds in piping and make up piping connections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include a two year technical degree in a relevant program or five years work experience in a relevant field. Maintenance experience in the chemical processing or refining industry is preferred. Manual machinist experience will be considered for the Mechanical Technician positions.
