For additional information on our business, please visit our website: . ISR Systems Princeton has an immediate opening for a Manager of Programs. The Manager of Programs will direct a team of program managers and report to senior management. This position has primary program responsibility including financial performance, milestone achievement, and customer relationship management and requires outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and a process/tool focus. The position demands a highly motivated individual that can balance the rigors of government contracting with the flexibility required in our highly specialized and technical matrix organization while maturing the program management function. The ability to work comfortably in a technical environment with engineers and scientists is essential. Tasks will include but not be limited to:
Build a program management capability and culture: . Establish professional program management culture with special attention to customer relationship management and early problem identification . Develop program managers that win continuation business with existing customers . Develop and refine program office policies . Develop and refine procedures for program/project execution . Develop and maintain program execution tools . Ensure compliance with all government contracting regulations . Build and maintain effective working relationships with business development, R&D, engineering, and manufacturing . Develop comprehensive risk analysis/tracking/reporting system . Refine estimating and budgeting practices
Manage program and project management team: . Set and manage performance expectations . Win continuation business with existing customers . Develop a consistent PM style . Regular review of program performance . Responsible for financial performance of all programs/projects . Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, oversee program managers customer relationships . Consulting with senior management, assign program managers to new programs . Working with functional managers and program managers, build program teams . Support BD in developing costs for new proposals and business pursuits
Report program performance to senior management . Regular status presentations to senior management . Program milestone tracking . Financial performance, actual and forecast . Forecast resource utilization . Risk and opportunity analysis and presentation . Initiate conversations with Director of Operations and Director of Business Development on potential opportunities and issues
Execute complex technical development programs . Serve as PM on one or more projects/programs . Model performance and behavior expectations for other program managers Basic Qualifications: -4 year college degree as well as at least 10 years prior experience working on technical programs, with 5 years as a program manager required. -Experience leading a team of project and program managers, setting expectations, and driving performance -Experience managing cost, schedule and technical performance on assigned programs -Ability to relate with different personalities and functional groups -Ability to manages his/her own time as well as that of the team. -Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure, make decisions, and move forward -Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. -Motivates, develops and directs team members as they work. -Familiarity with government funded program requirements a plus -Proficiency with program management tools -Communicates well (orally and written) to program team, management, and to the customer. -Deals well with ambiguity -Demonstrated experience developing metrics, delivering executive level reports, and presenting to executives -PMP certification preferred -Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma preferred % Travel Required: < 10% var isResizable = false; var lsCTSubmit = true; var lsMVSubmit = true;
