We currently have an opportunity available for a Manager of Supply Chain Analysis - This is an ideal opportuntiy for someone with experience as a senior analyst background (supply chain experience not required) who is looking to take their career to the next step.

The Manager of Supply Chain Analysis, is responsible for managing all Finished Goods Sourcing and all Distribution related analyses. This position will provide manage all of the analytical support for the Planning, Warehousing, and Transportation (outside of CarrierPoint and Rate-specific analyses) areas. He/she will also be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Annual Planning Process for Logistics and Transportation.



Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



Managing all Strategic Finished Goods Sourcing.
Master the use of the LlamaSoft Network Modeling software, including all cost inputs into the model.
Identify complete network Sourcing at least once per year, through the use of LlamaSoft.
Participate in on the internal Supply/Demand Balancing Meetings to identify any required Sourcing changes to alleviate supply/demand imbalances, along with the associated variable cost impact.
Proactively look for cost reduction opportunities through Sourcing changes.
Provide Strategic Sourcing support for major projects, such as the opening/closing of manufacturing facilities.
Provide ad hoc cost/benefit analyses of potential Sourcing changes.
Manage RCN submittals for Sourcing changes.
Compile costs for approval/rejection of tactical re-Sourcing requests.
Become conduit for Planning related information to Warehouse Operations and Transportation.
Provide projected volume/production information to ensure operational capabilities exist to handle the volume. Understand and relay impact of the Planning changes back to the Planning area.
Provide insight in the Supply/Demand Balancing Meetings on the impact of decisions made in the meeting on Distribution-related costs (i.e. Warehouse and Shipping and Transportation costs)
Coordinate all aspects of the Annual Plan for the Logistics and Transportation Department.
Identify Sourcing for the Annual Plan through the use of LlamaSoft.
Complete the Production Plan, with assistance from the Manager of Supply Planning.
Coordinate the completion of the Transportation budget with the Plant Logistics Managers and Director of Transportation.
Coordinate the completion of the Warehouse and Shipping budget with the Plant Logistics Managers and the Senior Manager of Warehouse Operations.
Complete the Inventory Plan, with assistance from the Manager of Supply Planning.
Work with Executive Director of Logistics and Transportation on RC Budget.
Provide Risks/Opportunities to the Annual Plan.
Provide analytical support for Planning, Warehouse Operations, and Transportation. Typical analyses would include:
Compilation and presentation of the monthly Transportation Budget Bridge and Warehouse and Shipping Budget Review and presentation of the summary of results at the monthly Logistics and Transportation Review Meeting.
Benchmarking of flatbed trucking costs against Market indicators.
Identification and/or evaluation of local plant warehousing options with the Warehouse Operations Team, including the evaluation of future space needs.
Work with the Plant Logistics Managers on KPM reporting accuracy and timeliness.
Complete key Logistics and Transportation metrics such as On-Time Delivery, Reliability, Lane Compliance %, and share amongst the team and with Plant Management.
Through data-driven analyses, uncover areas of opportunity for service and cost improvements, and work through the Warehouse Operations and Transportation Teams to realize these.



Requirements:

*BA/BS Degree in a Business discpline.
* At least 5-7 years experience at a Senior Analyst level
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Previous expereince of systems, such as SAP or People or other forecasting, process control, customer service, or inventory reporing or inventory systems.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and decision making skills.
