8-10 years diversified experience in manufacturing processes with specialized training in quality management; OPEX; experience in applying quality techniques to the development, sale and provision of services to customers.

Documented training in quality management/OPEX; experience with ASME requirements in a manufacturing environment, solid experience in mechanical manufacturing and testing production;
knowledge in statistical and quality engineering methodologies; demonstrated ability to trouble shoot product / system problems and develop corrective action plans to resolve product quality issues; experience with NRC's codes and standards, NDE methods and radiation safety; familiar with government quality requirements and Federal Reg, Title 10 Codes.


Job Description: To align the Operation's employees and culture with new business structure and systems by creating and communicating an action-oriented vision and strategy for quality and to maintain Quality Assurance and Control policies, procedures and programs to maximize product profitability and assure that requirements as set forth in regulatory publications are adhered to both in products produced as well as products procured.

.Responsible for establishing and developing the reliability program and the issuance of formal product and process specifications.
.Confers with management and customers in the planning, scheduling, coordinating and directing the quality assurance program in conformance with customer requirements, engineering specifications and production schedules.
.Analyzes and interprets quality data and submits the results to designated personnel.
.Provides technical guidance and works in close liaison with Marketing and Engineering department on all projects
.Maintains an effective material review and disposition program.
.Reviews all complaints received from customers for the purpose of determining where emphasis should be placed at the plants to prevent recurrence.
.Establishes vendor reliability ratings, devise probability studies of failure and counsel with design engineers in parts application.
.Participate in the establishment of quality specifications and standards for raw materials and for process and finished products.
.Develops and recommends inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans or process controls procedures that will insure production of finished products which meet quality specifications and standards.
.Conducts research on product defects and recommends modifications in products or quality standards where such appear to be warranted.
.Insures compliance with government regulations.
.Visits customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality problems.
.Acts as the key advisor to the Director, Operations on implementing total quality and OPEX. Provides approaches, tools and policy recommendations to lead the quality effort.
.Initiates the process of aligning all of employees and cultures with new business strategy, structure and systems as it pertains to quality. Assesses readiness to make major changes to identify and overcome resistance to change and to communicate with employees about the need for change.
.Provides tools and approaches for furthering the progress of Total Quality / OPEX
.Encourages strong consistent leadership from top executives
.Participates in any corporate Total Quality activities. Contributes to identification and solutions of corporate-wide barriers to Total Quality.
.Carries the Total Quality message to appropriate suppliers and customers and leads development of quality relationships with both. Includes participating in and shared responsibility for vendor and customer partnering relationships
