Premier Government Defense Contractor is actively searching for Manufacturing Engineers for their Charlottesville, VA, area operation.
Responsibilities:
-> Responsible for the development, monitoring, and the continual improvement of manufacturing processes and methods in support of assigned product lines
-> Assists in training manufacturing personnel
-> Audits new suppliers for assigned products utilizing existing company procedures
-> Develops data collection and analysis for assigned products
-> Functions as the liaison between Manufacturing Operations and the development teams
-> Performs in process audits in manufacturing operations
-> Works with Quality and other departments as required to develop quality plans for all assigned products
-> Monitors progress on development project issues and expedites completion as required to support internal schedules
-> Recommend, purchase, and implement capital equipment
Requirements:
-> 5+ years prior experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role working within an ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System
-> Bachelors degree in Engineering required
-> Proven ability to perform root cause analysis on quality issues that surface in a product manufacturing operation
-> This is government contract work which requires candidates to be a U.S. citizen (without dual citizenship) and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
-> Experience in a Defense Industry manufacturing environment is a plus
