Manufacturing Engineer, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer )
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Evaluate new equipment technologies; tool selection, fixture design and N/C Programming
•Support for plant layout, purchase of equipment, upgrade of equipment and feasibility studies
•Interface with Design Engineering to co-ordinate new product release to production
•Document process steps to allow manufacturing of products
•Responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes
•Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing processes
•Design new fixtures to support process change
SKILLS
•Demonstrated mechanical and technical knowledge with the ability to resolve and provide technical solutions
•Experience with CNC multi (5)-axis machining centers, lathes, millturns 9-axis and exotic materials
•Exposure to CAD/CAM packages such as NX, Catia, Espirit
•Experience in model based definition a plus
•Knowledge of current manufacturing processes/technologies; standards and specifications
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer focus attitude
•Continuous improvement mindset and/ or knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma methodologies
Requirements:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•AA or BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or technically related field preferred
•Minimum five (5) years experience in a metals manufacturing environment preferred
