| Manufacturing Process Engineer<br/>Location: Hanover, NH<br/>Employment duration: Full time<br/># of openings: 1<br/>Shift: 1st Shift<br/>Pay range:<br/><br/>Description<br/><br/>The Manufacturing Process Engineer designs and develops effective, efficient, and robust manufacturing processes that sustain and support existing and new products and technologies to ensure that Hypertherm’s products exceed customer expectations<br/><br/>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/><br/>* Creates, oversees, and maintains a Lean manufacturing environment (e.g., Value Stream Mapping) to continually develop and refine production systems to achieve world-class manufacturing standards for quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction<br/>* Develops new manufacturing processes and improves existing manufacturing processes (assembly and test of printed circuit board assemblies, including through-hole and surface mount technologies, conformal coating, and automated assembly); conducts and oversees capacity and capability evaluations in development and management of manufacturing process<br/>* Anticipates the need for and develops documentation of measurement systems for printed circuit boards to support their assembly; this documentation provides standard construction instructions to ensure consistency and efficient product manufacturing. Designs and implements appropriate manufacturing rules (e.g., fit for purpose, do it right the first time, Plan-Do-Check-Act, etc.) to assure quality<br/>* Analyzes and resolves product quality problems and solves complex manufacturing problems, applying knowledge of production methods and quality improvements techniques<br/>* Facilitates (and may lead) continual improvement activities on their team<br/>* Supports projects and initiatives as assigned<br/><br/>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<br/><br/>* BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering<br/>* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Computer Aided Design software, and Oracle ERP<br/>* Understands principles of the tools of total quality management, including systematic problem-solving through root cause analysis and statistical methods, design for manufacture and assembly, ISO 9001 procedures and auditing, demand flow, ergonomic analysis and design, bills of materials structure, process plans, routings, and Value Stream Mapping<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications:<br/><br/>* Experience in electromechanical assembly operations, including understanding and application of leading manufacturing and quality management principles<br/>* Green belt or Black belt, Lean/Six Sigma certification<br/><br/>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:<br/><br/>* Able to lift up to 60 lbs<br/>* Able to work in a manufacturing plan environment Nearest Major Market: Hanover, Engineering, Construction, Electrical, Process Engineer, Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical Engineering, CAD, Management, Lean Six Sigma, Six Sigma Black Belt, Six Sigma, Manufacturing, Manufacturing, Industrial, Operations, Inventory, Quality, Quality Manager, Technology, Oracle, Testing, Quality Assurance, ERP, Database
