We’re a leading manufacturer in the Central Suffolk County, Long Island area
with an immediate need for a
PRODUCTION PLANNER
The
ideal candidate
will plan required parts
and materials to meet production
and shipping schedules while maintaining
accurate and minimum inventory levels. Interface
with customers and suppliers to insure timely availability
of parts & services. Interface/communicate with people
throughout the plant. Participate in a team
environment. Identify planning
process improvement activities.
Job Description:
This person will be responsible for creating production schedules, execution of work orders and data entry in a manufacturing environment.
Create and maintain work orders and supporting material to convert sales forecast into manufacturing plan.
Generate and maintain production schedule.
Review material availability to support work orders.
Generate expedite list for purchased and manufactured parts and forward to appropriate supervisor/manager.
Schedule customer orders for production line.
Responsible for inventory levels for product lines.
Run daily interdepartmental meetings on production schedule.
Maintain on time deliveries to customers.
Plan work load for Assembly department and machine shop to effectively meet all customer requirements.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years planning experience in a computerized manufacturing environment.
Intermediate computer skills, Excel, MS, Word etc.
Ability to interact departmentally to achieve planning goals.
