Job Responsibilities:
* Process Improvement-Provide process efficiency and suitability analysis and input to manufacturing engineering and production management. Provide Plant Performance Measures for the Quality function and participate/champion improvement teams to drive continuous improvement. * Product Improvement- Provide product reliability, design and critical feature analysis and input to product teams. Create and maintain the Quality Plan and product performance measures for the Product Team. * Method Improvement- Provide method design and impact analysis and input to manufacturing engineering and production vide leadership into Manufacturing in these areas through the use of FMEA, Control Plans and Inspection Instructions. * Quality Management System- Provide ongoing product, process, equipment and method creation/revision input to owners of quality management system element for inclusion in system documentation.
Qualifications: This position requires a four-year college degree plus two years experience or two-year college degree with seven years experience. ASQ (or equivalent) Certified Quality Engineer certification preferred. Excellent computer literacy, word processing skills (MS Word) and spreadsheet skills (MS Excel) is needed for this position. Knowledge of databases (MS Access) is desired. Certain technical skills and training, such as quality tools and techniques, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) are required. Good Problem Solving skills (8D) are also required. The incumbent should have good communication skills, the ability to work effectively with people and the personal drive/sense of urgency necessary to provide needed support in the time frames demanded.
