Description
The Marketing Specialist is exposed to and assists with all elements of the team’s marketing efforts, including market research; segmenting, targeting and positioning; product launch execution; collaborating with regional marketing, sales and marketing services teams to develop and execute marketing programs and promotions; understanding C/customers; and developing sales tools and various types of marketing communications (e.g. product collateral, online tools / communications, etc.)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: · Supports all marketing responsibilities of product launches · Supports development of programs that facilitate the promotion and sale of (Business team) products · Supports Product launch support including announcements, demonstration equipment, training, merchandising and displays · Assists with event coordination & execution, such as open houses, and trainings · Develops sales tools, including flyers, competitive comparisons, posters and general sales aides · Media planning, management & execution. Developing relationships with local industry-related publications and websites. Measuring and evaluating effectiveness of placements. · Public Relations coordination. Supports development and execution of regional PR plan. Works directly with PR agencies if applicable · Works with C/customers to identify the collateral needs of various audiences worldwide · Collaboratively develops sales materials, with the Marketing Services team as required, for Hypertherm sales associates, channel partners, and end users, to drive demand for Hypertherm products through clear, concise and distinctive value propositions. (Examples may include development of sales flyers, brochures, email communications, PR article content, web features, total cost comparisons, etc.) · Researches competitors and develops competitive analysis reports · Plans, coordinates and executes regional trade shows, including booth design, procurement, set-up and staffing · Assists with channel partners cross-promotional initiatives · Conducts post-event assessment of results. Conducts market research as required, including customer surveys, market share analyses, and competitive research to provide inputs for new product and program development · Assists with marketing analytical work as directed by leader (e.g., sales result reporting and analysis, ROI analysis, pricing analysis, etc.) to measure the effectiveness of sales tools and marketing programs · Assists with development and execution of Voice-of-Customer research (VOC) and competitive benchmark information for customer segmentation, product positioning and strategy development
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience · BA/BS in Marketing or related field · 3+ years work experience in Marketing field · Project Management experience (7 step, PPM or equivalent) · 5-20% Travel required
