· Develop and maintain network modeling for storage and throughput capabilities for a Direct to Consumer network in a dynamic and growing environment.
· Develop and oversee key strategic initiatives for the enhancement of network and facility capabilities.
· Complete detailed analytics on key business and operational data and metrics. Prepare executive reports clearly summarizing findings and conclusions.
· Develop equipment requirements and participate in facility design projects for Direct to Consumer distribution centers. Continuously improve processes and equipment selection for industry-leading productivity, ergonomics and safety.
· Create bid specifications for the procurement of material handling equipment. Utilize as necessary reverse auctions to obtain most competitive pricing for equipment
· Assist in the design and implementation of new technology and material handling solutions into existing distribution centers.
· Oversee material handling equipment and warehouse control system commissioning for a new $1.m square foot direct to consumer facility in Portland, TN, including test script writing, schedule development, data preparation, test execution and issue resolution.
· Serve as liaison between vendors and Macy's Logistics' project team, maintenance, operations and Macy's Systems & Technology group, for all aspects of the project while aligning and streamlining communications among all parties.
· Any other functions management deems essential.
Requirements / Experience :
