Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
The Material Handler will receive, store and distribute raw materials and supplies to designated staging areas. The Material Handler is also expected to follow our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
*
Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
*
Maintain a constant flow of materials, such as resin, color and regrind to operating lines.
*
May mix resin and color in accordance with customer specifications.
*
Operate and maintain material handling systems.
*
Ensure resin inventory levels (at Hoppers, Gaylords, etc) are kept within required limits.
*
Clean out material handling system to include grinders and material hoppers during material or color changes.
*
Transport scrapped materials from production line to the grinder area.
*
Prepare materials for grinding process.
*
May load and unload trailers.
*
Transport and store materials, finished products and supplies to appropriate staging area.
*
Visually inspect resin, pallets and bottles to ensure they meet quality standards.
*
Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

AS degree is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Current OSHA forklift driving certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
