Mechanical Design Engineer-Pro Engineering Pro/E/Manufacturing/Compressors
Manufacturer of air compressors for motor vehicle braking systems needs a ProE Design Engineer to join their team in eastern South Carolina. Will perform detailed design of reciprocating air compressors. Also responsible for managing new products, coordinating test activities and working with customers/suppliers to resolve product issues. Need 5+ years relative experience. Bachelors Degree. Permanent position. Great company! Relocation is available.
Responsibilities:
-> Perform detailed design and analysis of reciprocating air compressors.
-> Coordinate test activities and analyze test results to validate compressor designs
-> Manage new compressor introduction projects
-> Work with customers and suppliers to resolve product issues
-> Help resolve design issues arising in daily production
Requirements:
-> BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent curriculum
-> 5+ years of experience in air compressor or reciprocating machinery industry
-> Design experience using Pro/E
-> Basic project management skills and ability to lead projects both internally and with customers.
-> Experience with APQP design procedures (DFMEA, DVP&R, Design Reviews, etc)
-> ** Beneficial to know list-
-> a) FEA experience using Pro/Mechanical b) Experience with PTC?s Windchill for Product Lifetime Management (PLM) c) Knowledge of commercial vehicle braking systems. d) Statistical analysis using Minitab e) Six Sigma training and exp e) Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) experience
