Description: Generac Power Systems? Join the leader in the power industry! Our Corporate Office in Waukesha, WI is seeking aMechanical Design Engineerfor our Engineering Division.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of parts, assemblies and related parts for the alternator design group. This will involve completing Pro-E models and detail part drawings, process ECO's and create BOM's of the alternator assemblies and related parts. Other responsibilities will include materials selection, cost estimates, rapid prototype parts for evaluation, design reviews, verification processes and qualification testing to ensure compliance with the current standards prescribed by UL, CSA, NEMA and other agencies. You will also support existing products and new development programs as necessary and have a very "hands on" role with involvement from part design concepts to production.
Requirements: ?Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or similar discipline. ?3 years Pro-E wildfire design experience. ?5 years experience in electro-mechanical design environment. ?Experience with machined, plastic injection molded parts and basic assembly techniques.
