A world-class manufacturing company in the Columbia, SC, area is seeking Mechanical Engineers with 3 to 5 years of industrial project experience to lead the design and installation of new highly-automated manufacturing equipment. Outstanding benefits and relocation package.
Responsibilities:
-> Use your experience in industrial plant capital projects to lead the plant capital project program to install new automated high speed manufacturing equipment
-> You will be responsible for design, fabrication, installation and startup of material handling equipment, automated assembly machinery, boilers, compressors, and the like
-> You will evaluate current processes, develop improvement projects, prepare estimates, schedules, and bid packages, and lead the installation and commissioning of the equipment as well
-> You will oversee outside contractors used in the projects
-> You will provide technical support to maintenance on problem resolution and training on the new equipment, and consult on existing equipment as needed
Requirements:
-> BS in Mechanical Engineering
-> 3 to 5 years industrial experience in a manufacturing plant
-> Project management experience
-> Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
