Description
Overall purpose of the role:
To test RF and microwave cable assemblies during manufacture to ensure compliance to specification and to provide technical support in all aspects of product test.
Key Activities:
To test RF and microwave cable assemblies using Scalar and Vector Analysers
Conduct fault finding analysis
Produce product analysis reports
QUALIFICATIONS
HNC or HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
3 years experience in testing microwave and RF components using scalar and vector analysers in a commercial manufacturing environment
Understanding of typical network analyser measurements (e.g Insertion and Return Loss, electrical length)
Experience of testing at customers location is preferred
Operated in ISO 9001 environment
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Windows and Microsoft office suite
Able to liaise on a technical basis with customers and suppliers
Able to care for and handle test components and equipment
Able to organise and prioritise work
PERSONAL SKILLS
Good hand eye coordination
Patient and able to focus on intricate work for a sustained period
Positive attitude
High attention to quality and standards
Numerate - able to do mathematical calculations
Team player and a good communicator
Uses initiative and solve problems
Able to travel (fly) from time to time
