Mining Engineer
The mining engineer is to seek the optimum solution for the supply of all customers, balancing safety, environmental, and cost goals established by the plant.
-Inspect equipment and plant operation daily
-Ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency
-Study PLC data and reports to determine if plant is operating at it's optimum
-Evaluate efficiency of current crushing and screening process
-Track w/ton on crushing plant
-Evaluate shot rock sizing and volume
-Change drill/blast patterns to optimize size and yield
-Track lb Explosives per ton stone broken.
-Install small projects or changes to maximize plant availability
-Work with maintenance to establish heavy hitters and eliminate reliability issues.
-Daily evaluation and communication concerning quality of plant's products.
-Audits of quality measurement system.
-Maximize Deposit Yield while balancing products
-Evaluate new instrumentation and technology for improved performance.
-Evaluate control loops and tuning requirements of key control loops
-Maintain control loops and ensure they are left in Automatic and Not Manual.
Requirements:
4 year degree required
Mining Engineering preferred; Geology or Geologist
5-10 years experience preferred
