General Purpose of Job:
Track and organize global industry project announcements for use by company sales and marketing personnel. Provide or coordinate integration into customer relationship management (CRM) software. Periodically update market funnel size potential based on project announcements. Provide presentation level material on market trends and pattern. Developvisionary market focused strategies, leading implementation of cross-functional global market tactics, providing marketintelligence services to the product lines,and coordinate the industry advertising and promotional activities. These competencies include solid project management, marketing management, and business development skill sets. Have the ability to work across the entire organization and assist with the qualification and quantification of new industry opportunities ( markets / applications) that can provide Watlow with exceptional revenue growth; track competitor strategic moves and capabilities. Specific competencies include sales, marketing management, and business development skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:
*
Track industry-wide initiatives and project announcements that are strategically important to Watlow.
*
Provide a searchable and sortable database of industry-wide projects of strategic importance. Must be data mining friendly for use by global sales channel and marketing personnel.
*
Integrate industry wide project database with CRM software for use by global sales channel.
*
Coordinate global operating system to assure ATEs, OSEs are working on target AVLs and opportunities.
*
Assist with identification and research of emerging markets and applications as growth opportunities for Watlow.
*
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with key customers, external opinion leaders, competitors, government and industry organizations as input to understand emerging market opportunities.
*
Develop and/or enhance a web-based competitive information repository that can be dynamically updated by all customer-facing personnel such that the competitive landscape is current and well characterized. Integrate standard reporting into the monthly marketing operating system. Work closely with LOBs, product managers and business leaders to develop countermeasures to competitive threats.
*
Competitive information database needs to be accessible by all relevant Watlow planning entities required by the organization to exploit attractive new thermal solution opportunities within the program.
*
Develop marketing global communications plans that support product and market plans.
*
Develop communication tools based on audiences’ needs and select the most effective medium.
*
Project management from initial concept through copy writing and publication of various sales tools including catalogs, brochures, spec sheets, trade shows, web content, advertising, public relations, newsletters, direct mailers, price books and electronic media.
*
Ensures Watlow brand identity is maintained (and enhanced) within assigned industries and product lines.
*
Research, write and edit marketing communications tools.
*
Assist with maintaining market size and segmentation data for all of Watlow’s primary markets. Assist with providing market data in support of AOP planning activities.
*
Develop and socialize a market intelligence system that facilitates information capture regarding emerging global market needs.
*
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Scientific or related discipline. Preference is a technical undergraduate degree and an MBA.
*
Minimum five years of relevant business experience in an industrial B-to-B environment.
*
Practical understanding of the operational, financial, and marketing fundamentals.
*
Demonstrated ability to creatively and insightfully identify market opportunities from raw data or from marketing/sales relationships.
*
Ability to analyze significant opportunities and prepare convincing and complete business cases that support them.
*
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple activities with specific goals and timelines.
*
Demonstrated organization, coordination, and communications skills.
*
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office software programs.
*
Demonstrated ability to interact with all organization levels.
