Come join our team of highly skilled experts! We are seeking a Mold Process Engineering Manager in our Lincoln, Nebraska location!
Job Responsibilities: 1. Develop molding processes through scientific molding. Setting up and monitoring with RGJ systems. 2. Troubleshoot and resolve problems with new and old molds, processes, and equipment through statistical analysis, NPE monitoring system, new technologies and DOE’s. 3. Lead & Resolve quality and production problems by working with Toolroom, Quality Control, 4. Process Engineering, Production, Maintenance and Liaison Engineering. 5. Improve the quality of incoming molds and processes by working with the corporate 6. Design/Process Engineers through Design Reviews and attending meetings with those groups. 7. Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material issues and develop new processes and procedures. 8. Involvement in starting up new machines and equipment through equipment decisions, purchasing of equipment, debugging of equipment, developing processes and writing instructions and procedures. 9. Maintain a safe work environment and good housekeeping practices. 10. Update and maintain PFMEA’s. 11. Develop process and cost improvements/savings. 12. Coach, teach and train other Mold Process Engineers. 13. Training production operators on molding equipment, processes and materials.
Requirements:
Job Requirements : • Must have at least a 2-year degree in a technical area, preferably in the molding/plastics field; a High School diploma; or at least 5 years’ equivalent experience. • A four-year technical degree is preferred, preferably in molding/plastics field. • 5+ year's proven management/supervisor experience. • Adept at troubleshooting problems and able to systematically plan projects. • Must be knowledgeable of molding materials and tooling. • Must have a strong understanding of RGJ systems, statistics, SPC and FMEA’ s. • Must have experience with Microsoft and/or Lotus word processing and spreadsheet software. • Must have the ability to read and understand mold and part drawings. • A basic understanding of hydraulics, electronics and DOE’ s is beneficial. • Must be able to plan, coordinate and control costs on projects.
