DUTIES * Perform mold changes on injection molding machines per schedule * Start up machine after changeover is complete * Adjust machine settings & other parameters to achieve stable process * Perform start up measurements to verify parts conform to requirements. * Ability to clean, set up, and do minor repairs to injection molds * Complete preventative and corrective maintenance to IMM’s and auxiliary equipment * Assist lead tech with any projects or machine repairs * Assist mold cleaner when necessary * Indirectly supervise molding operator on shift * Direct operator in assisting with changeovers or other duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS - Injection molding machine control knowledge - Strong understanding of injection molding principles - Process troubleshooting skills - Problem solving skills - Physical ability to stand for long periods of time - Lifting ability up to 60 pounds, occasionally 100 pounds with help - Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiply, divide), including shop math - Blueprint reading and gauge measuring - Overtime when necessary - Proven written & verbal communication skills; Basic computer skills.
