Responsibilities/Description:
NDT Inspector (Mechanic/Machinist) scope of duties include complete Level 2 NDT including Dye Penatrant and Magnetic Particle Inspections.
Qualifications:
Required:
*
3 years experience and knowledge rotating & reciprocating equipment including:
*
Steam Turbines
*
Centrifugal Compressors
*
Reciprocating Compressors.
*
Good written & verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare factual job reports and/or sketches of work performed.
*
An expert in operation of parts and how to adjust and obtain proper clearances and functioning.
*
Ability to read & interpret general assembly blueprints and work to general tolerances.
*
Ability to use precision measuring instruments to 0.001" and simple hand tools.
*
Ability to understand and follow management and supervisory directives.
*
Ability to be attentive to tasks at hand and move to the next task
Preferred:
*
5+ years experience and knowledge rotating & reciprocating equipment including:
*
Steam Turbines
*
Centrifugal Compressors
*
Reciprocating Compressors
Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications:
*
Disassemble, inspect assemble all equipment and sub-assemblies.
*
Follow Standard Work Procedures and Policies.
*
Provide complete inspection package.
*
Utilize calibrated measuring tools
*
Prepare factual job reports and/or sketches of work performed
*
Provide expertise in the operation of parts, adjustments and obtain proper clearances and functioning.
*
Read & interpret general assembly blueprints and work to general tolerances.
*
Utilize precision measuring instruments to 0.001" and simple hand tools.
*
Follow management and supervisory directives.
*
Focus on current task and progress to next task upon completion
