Maintenance Mechanic- Industrial maintenance experience, 2 year industrial engineering / maintenance degree or equivalent experience, PLC experience, Electrical experience, Hydraulic experience, ability to work unsupervised (on 3
rd shift), and welding/fabrication experience would be helpful
Lab Technician- Aids in the preparation of test specimens. Conducts standardized ammunition and firearms testing at the request of design personnel or management. Develops test fixtures, methods, and procedures for ammunition and firearms testing. Confers with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to specifications and to review test plans such as types and cycles of tests, conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and duration of tests. Fabricates precision parts for test apparatus or interprets specifications for workers
fabricating parts. Examines parts for conformance with dimensional specification. Coordinates and participates in installing unit or system to be tested in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source, and indicating instruments. Activates controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and
subject test item to successive steps in test cycle. Monitor controls and instruments and records test data for engineer’s use. Recommends changes in test methods or equipment for engineering review. Special projects may also be assigned.
Robotics/Electronics Technician- 2+ years experience and Intermediate Budget experience. Staff Accountant duties include: Budget experience; Balance Sheet reconciliations; General Ledger coding and posting; Accruals. Staff Accountant must have Intermediate Budget experience and strong Time Management skills. Advanced MS Excel is a must! Staff Accountant will also involve some scanning and data entry. Accounting degree is preferred.
Production- General production line positions available in Elizabethtown, Bardstown, Leitchfield, Lebanon, Shepherdsville, and Louisville.
Production Manager- Ability to lead and manage a team of Supervisors while meeting safety, quality, delivery and cost targets. Position is responsible for overseeing, improving and troubleshooting Summit's molding processes through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Candidate will be able to positively impact manpower planning, employee retention, training and development. Must have previous experience in people and department management.
Tool Engineer- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, Master's Degree preferred. Six (6) or more years of hands on manufacturing experience. Metal stamping and/or assembly background. Proficient in troubleshooting and correcting work flow problems. Ability to mentor and teach the team in effective problem solving methods. Experience in applying and teaching lean manufacturing concepts. Knowledge of standard quality practices. Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Proven leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced work environment. CAD experience (UG, Catia, AutoCad Desktop etc). Ability to visualize and comprehend all aspects of a manufacturing equipment and tooling, understand the relationships of factors affecting a given situation, be attentive to detail, and continually seek to improve work processes. Knowledge of automated processes including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control systems and how they interact with each other. Working knowledge of: continuous improvement, project management, facility engineering, process engineering, product engineering, equipment technology/capabilities, plant capacity and general problem solving. Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
Plant Manager- Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred. Five to seven years experience as a manufacturing supervisor or a combination of degree and experience. Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping and/or assembly process as required for the position. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast past environment. Ability to mentor and teach the team effective problem solving methods. Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts. Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office software. Experience in quality and environmental measurables such as TS 16949 and ISO 14001. Able to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations
