• Critical Care Director needed at a large Mid Atlantic acute care facility that is part of a university health care system.
• This hospital is seeking a Director of Critical Care.
• This position provides an opportunity to work at a prestigious healthcare organization in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment that will expand your knowledge, your expertise, and your experience.
• The Director is responsible for strategic, operational and financial planning, and management responsibility for Critical Care encompassing a staff of approximately 160 including clinical supervisors, staff nurses, team leaders, patient care and equipment techs, and others.
• Working closely with the CNO, you will develop short and long term goals for the department with a focus on positive patient outcomes, patient employee and physician satisfaction, safety, and staff development.
• This will include interacting on a clinical level with physicians, a professional level with staff, and a human level with patients and their families.
• A background in various jobs such as Clinical Nurse Specialist, ICU job or a related Nurse Job is a plus.

• Licensed Registered Nurse, BSN required, MSN strongly preferred.
• Critical Care experience.
• Communicate effectively with a socially, economically, and educationally diverse population,
• Provide compassion and knowledge to patients and families in crisis.
• Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership experience including Director level experience.
• Critical Care experience.
• Prior experience in an ICU Nurse job, Clinical Nurse Specialist jobs or Critical Care Nursing jobs a plus.

• Salary range is from $120,000, to $130,000 depending upon experience.
