Job Description Summary: Operational Analyst responsible for payroll labor tracking, product costing, RFP/RFQ preparation, Rates analysis, capital project requirements, budgeting and forecasting, assisting Colorado Springs finance with monthly closing requirements, other requirements as necessary
Prepares monthly, quarterly and yearly journal entries. Analyzes financial and operations information to provide detailed data to management and other users as required. Monitors and reports significant budget variances. Interfaces with employees whose software system duties impact the financial system. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Analyzes business trends, costs, revenues and/or financial commitments incurred to project future revenues and expenses. Performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. Duties may include any or all of the following: fixed asset or inventory accounting, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, cost accounting, bank and other account reconciliation. Develops, maintains, and analyzes budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Develops, implements, modifies, and documents record keeping and accounting systems. Provide support for various financial customer and government audits. Meets Sarbanes Oxley requirements and maintains appropriate documentation. Complies with all safety and environmental regulations, and works to create and promote a safe working environment. Adheres to all Goodrich rules and codes of conduct. Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance) and minimum of one to two years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Operations or manufacturing experience also preferred. Good mathematical and analytical skill and ability to prepare and interpret graphs and charts. Proficient computer skills. Ability to work hours in excess of 40 hours per week. % Travel Required: 10 - 20%
