Summary
Operations Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Operations in order to facilitate and assist in the daily functions of Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production of H&K’s Dallas and Mexico facilities. Individual will also assist in the implementation and management of company processes and reports in order to promote efficiency and productivity.
Essential Functions
Demonstrate ability to institute and manage applicable processes involved in the fields of manufacturing and engineering.
Acquire and retain strong grasp of Director of Operations’ daily responsibilities in order to disseminate relevant information when needed.
Possess willingness to embrace all areas of operational functions in order to transition into various levels of leadership.
Work in conjunction with North America President of Operations, Vice President of Logistics, as well as Director of Innovation and Development in order to maximize effective communication between departments.
Provide support and direction in accordance with various manufacturing projects.
Review production schedules, plant capacities, and coordinate with sales and purchasing in order to ensure all deadlines are met.
Develop protocols and cost analysis involved with estimating pricing of products and manufacturing costs.
Coordinate with Mexico facility in order to assist in the management of various Engineering workloads.
Identify solutions to operational challenges and issues in order to optimize management of workload and resources.
Provide interpretative reports to senior management as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or Institution.
5-7 years experience in a Manufacturing environment with proven ability to take on progressive leadership roles.
Experience with or understanding of drafting software/solid modeling a plus.
10%-15% travel required, mostly to Mexico facility.
