We are seeking an Operations Manager at our Chattanooga, TN plant to join our team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the safe, reliable and environmentally sound operation of the manufacturing units
• Set standards and maintain accountability within areas of responsibility
• Prioritize area maintenance and capital improvement activities
• Develop and adhere to area operating expense budget
• Identify, implement and maintain the controls associated with the key risks of operation
• Fulfill Operations role in all Key Driver areas
• Understand the key drivers of profitability. Identify and implement opportunities to create business value
• Use benchmarking and best practices to eliminate waste
• Translate business vision into an operations vision and communicate to organization
• Effectively communicate progress, plans and issues with site operations leadership
• Interact with and provide input to business teams
• Participate in business team studies, recommendations, and decisions
• Staff roles with the right people
• Quickly assess gaps and take corrective action
• Identify and develop the capabilities required to profitably manage the Key Drivers of Production Excellence
• Develop key measures to drive improvement and motivate the organization
• Support the decision-making process regarding our compliance strategy for new regulatory requirements. Implement the plans to ensure compliance

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering, Science or other related fields
• At least 5 years experience in a leadership role in a plant environment or military related field

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

• B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
