We are seeking an Operations Manager at our Chattanooga, TN plant to join our team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safe, reliable and environmentally sound operation of the manufacturing units
Set standards and maintain accountability within areas of responsibility
Prioritize area maintenance and capital improvement activities
Develop and adhere to area operating expense budget
Identify, implement and maintain the controls associated with the key risks of operation
Fulfill Operations role in all Key Driver areas
Understand the key drivers of profitability. Identify and implement opportunities to create business value
Use benchmarking and best practices to eliminate waste
Translate business vision into an operations vision and communicate to organization
Effectively communicate progress, plans and issues with site operations leadership
Interact with and provide input to business teams
Participate in business team studies, recommendations, and decisions
Staff roles with the right people
Quickly assess gaps and take corrective action
Identify and develop the capabilities required to profitably manage the Key Drivers of Production Excellence
Develop key measures to drive improvement and motivate the organization
Support the decision-making process regarding our compliance strategy for new regulatory requirements. Implement the plans to ensure compliance
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Science or other related fields
At least 5 years experience in a leadership role in a plant environment or military related field
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future.
