DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Develops and implements specific policies, objectives and teams in support of strategic goals to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Booth Centennial Healthcare Linen Services. 2) Responsible for ensuring that all employees and equipment are performing safely in accordance with established Health and Safety regulations through direct or indirect supervision. 3) Integrates health & safety into all aspects of production in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, industrial safety regulations and all other relevant safety legislation. 4) With the assistance of the Human Resources department, administers human resource policies and procedures, labour relations, salary administration, recruitment, discipline or termination of staff and other human resources issues that may arise. 5) Reviews operations daily and initiates action as required to meet financial, operational and growth objectives. 6) Ensures that the needs of the customer are being met. Participates in customer service meetings regularly and attends meetings with customer institutions if required. 7) Directs, coaches and trains the Booth Centennial Healthcare Linen Services Supervisory Team by setting priorities, monitoring performance, reviewing results and initiating action. 8) Working closely with the Director of Operations of Booth Centennial Healthcare Linen Services, participates in the development and implementation of strategic and business plans to expand the scope of services offered. 9) Responsible for ensuring adequate supply of linen. 10) Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. Qualifications: * Healthcare Laundry experience is considered an asset * Minimum 5 years experience in production environment * Post Secondary Education * Proven supervisory and problem solving skills * Excellent communication skills; written and verbal * Solid working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety obligations * Experience in a unionized environment We thank all applicants in advance who have applied however only those qualified will be contacted and all other resumes will be kept on file for future consideration.
