Description
The incumbent will be responsible for the following: * The storage, transfer, filtration and shipping of dispersion products in rail cars, tank trucks and other containers. * Unloading, transfer and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous raw materials from rail cars and tank trucks to storage. * Following operating procedures, site standards and policies etc. to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site * Transferring, filtering, sampling, and loading finished products to tank trucks and rail cars * Conducting routine inspections and monitoring of equipment (e.g. pumps, storage tanks, instrumentation, utilities, safety equipment, tools etc.) in the raw material tank farm, filter rooms, finished product storage areas and loading and unloading stations. * Moving raw material and finished product rail cars using Shuttlewagon/Trackmobile for storage, loading, unloading, cleaning and maintenance * Preparing equipment for operation, maintenance, cleaning etc.

Qualifications
Minimum:
* High school graduate or GED * 3-5 years of experience in an industrial, chemical plant or relevant environment. * Ability to achieve a minimum score on pre-placement aptitude tests is required. * A working knowledge of the mechanics and operation of different types of process equipment (e.g. pumps, valves, agitators, instrumentation and controls etc.)is preferred. * Familiarity with safety practices and techniques relating to the chemical industry (e.g. LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work). * A working knowledge of computers * A basic understanding and awareness of chemicals and their nature and hazards, safety and health issues etc. (MSDS's, use of PPE etc.) * The job is a shift position (8 hour rotating shifts) and requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors in all conditions and the use of stairways/ladders to perform tasks. Physical strength is required to operate manual process equipment. * Willingness and ability to work additional hours. * Position frequently lifts 21-50 lbs. and on occasion would need the ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Preferred:
* Forklift trained * Working knowledge of DOT and RCRA regulations (for Hazardous Waste handling and removal procedures and processes)
