Requirements: Perform difficult and unusual operations on vertical, horizontal, or universal milling machine, machining a variety of materials in cast, forged, or bar form. Must be able to plan, layout, and perform a variety of operations, choosing and setting up correct tooling and fixtures, or using dividing head, and selecting proper feeds and speeds. May be required to perform machining on irregularly-shaped pieces or pieces of new design for which no previous tooling has been prepared. Clamping, and blocking as required to insure accuracy and alignment. May train or assist others. Participate in general departmental clean-up when requested.
