Duties:

Essential Functions

Analyzes and interprets blueprints, routings, evaluation sheets,PO's, manuals and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.

Checks materials to ensure that they match requirements; and submits discrepancy reports when problems are found.

n
Compares colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.

n
Reviews item status in WISE and ensures item is logged/closed out appropriately based on its current status; and communicates information to others about project status, updates, specific instructions, etc.

n
Using WISE, accesses and interprets in-process inspection sheets to determine appropriate visual inspection procedures and operating instructions.

n
Documents non-conformance using non-conformance forms.

n
Completes and reviews product paperwork, verifying all paperwork is present and filled out appropriately; maintains inspection files and quality records; and selects, collects and records inspection data.

n
Verifies part number, serial number and customized markings are correct.

n
Discusses inspection results with those responsible for part.

n
Obtains certifications as necessary to perform required processes.

n
Operates basic inspection equipment (e.g., microscope, functional gauges, plug gage, and micrometer); measures and inspects dimensions; performs visual inspection of parts looking for cleanliness, damage, bent parts, and/or missing caps/plugs, per applicable work instructions; and verifies the calibration of equipment and expiration dates.

Uses limited troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Repackages (e.g., re-bag, put back in container) items after inspections following handling codes, gathering necessary packaging materials as needed.
