Scope and Entry Requirements

NAS-410 Certified Level 3 in a minimum of 2 processes.
Duties:

Essential Functions




* Inspects and validates hardware per applicable processes (e.g., magnetic particle, ultrasonic, radiography, radioscopy, load tests, casting inspection, penetrant inspection).

* Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting using applicable equipment; and verifies the calibration of equipment and expiration dates.

* Completes necessary paperwork and computer entries accurately and in a timely manner; writes Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's).

* Provides training to other NDT members; and communicates information to others about project status, updates, specific instructions, etc.

* Treats materials per applicable work instructions; and post clean parts per applicable work instructions.

* Conducts or directs training and examination of Woodward members requiring NDT certification; creates, administers and scores re-certification exams when certified as a level 3 per the NAS-410 for a specific process; and monitors and stays abreast of certifications in NDT.

* Uses advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving.

* Develops and approves inspection techniques and disposition of product in accordance with processing and engineering specifications.

* Identifies quality/process improvements using Measure Analyze Improve Controls/Statistical Process Control tools.

* Consults with external NDT resources to address issues with equipment and processes; maintains/interprets internal specifications in accordance with external standards; and provides technical expertise to Engineering, as required.
