Position Purpose
Directs the activities of, and has responsibility for, members in direct production and indirect support functions in a manufacturing artments may include machining, special processes, and assembly and test. Duties:
Essential Functions
1. Coaches and mentors members. 2. Responsible for department metrics and performance. ponsible for department budgets. 4. Identifies, encourages and provides learning/training opportunities. tinuous improvement in support of department and company goals. ponsible for annual performance appraisals, disciplinary and termination actions. rdinates, evaluates and justifies the need for new and/or additional equipment. elops, reviews and maintains staffing requirements. rdinates the support from external departments as needed (i.e. engineering, manufacturing engineering, HR, accounting, etc.). ablishes boundaries. ports and encourages team building. vides feedback, both positive and negative, to others. ablishes and promotes a positive work environment. olves conflicts. ters an open, empowering team environment. ponsible for members adherence to all related work instructions (i.e. safety rules, SPs, OPs, WIs, etc.).
