Paper Machine Superintendent
Role:
This role has overall responsibility for one of the three machines at the Brunswick Mill. Brunswick has one can dryer machine and two air flotation dryer machines, all of which manufacture fluff pulp used in disposable absorbent products such as baby diapers and air-laid non-wovens. The successful candidate will focus on safely improving productivity and reducing costs through process/equipment and operator knowledge/skill improvement.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Provide leadership through the effective utilization of the MBM principles and framework.
Facilitate a culture where the safety focus results in zero injuries and the compliance focus results in zero reportable incidents.
Lead the drive for improvement in the Operations Excellence areas of compliance, environmental health and safety, reliability, production, costs, quality, yield and capital improvements.
Provide operational and business leadership and technical support for the paper machine manufacturing process through interaction with the mill team supporting the operation. Work with the business team to optimize asset utilization to facilitate execution of the business plan.

Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership showing the ability to affect operational change and improvement
Demonstrated operational results showing year over year improvement.
Minimum of 5 years leading an operational group in bleached paper making required; bachelors degree in engineering or paper science preferred.
Fluff pulp experience preferred; fine paper, coated board or market pulp on fourdrinier machine with can or air flotation dryer required.
Project management experience desired.
