Job Summary: As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will assist divisional customers with support of Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g databases on HP-UX and LINUX platforms. This role is responsible for providing database support and performance tuning on Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g in both an online-transactional and online-analytical processing environment. This team will require 24x7 management and support for the stability of client databases. Troubleshooting and researching database issues related to performance, query performance, space management, and other technical issues (sometimes working with Oracle Support via Metalink) is a core function of this role. Basic Qualifications (Required): Five (5) or more years of database administration experience in an enterprise level environment Four (4) years experience with Oracle 10g database administration Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripting, debugging and tuning experience Oracle Standby, High Availability, Snapshot technologies, partitioning, and RMAN experience Experience supporting and implementing Disaster Recovery solutions Proficient in troubleshooting both application and database issues Must have experience in Business Application, Production Control disciplines and Change Management experience Preferred Qualifications: BS in Computer Science Preferred to have VERITAS Net Backup experience Trending and analysis knowledge Working knowledge of HP-UX, Linux & Windows System administration Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and higher installation, configuration and maintenance experience EOE M/F/D/V Qualified Applicants: Please submit your resume at Principals Only.
