Paint Automation Analyst
The Paint Automation Analyst is responsible for providing leadership to cross functional teams that include paint booth supervisors, automation skilled trades and production teams. The Analyst is responsible for robotic applications in sealer, primer, top coat and performa as well asfluid delivery systems and robot programming. The Paint Automation Analyst will lead the facility in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles, managing quality, throughput, safety, maintenance and reducing losses/waste based on Cost Deployment. Thisposition will support related automation and controls of manufacturing operations, planning project operations that establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products utilizing knowledge of trades, methods, machinery and equipment capabilities and manpower requirements to coordinate activities according to WCM standards.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience in paint operations
• Knowledgeable with PLC and paint application hardware and software
• Must be able to interface with various levels including UAW employees, engineering, tooling and advanced manufacturing engineering as required
• Must be goal oriented and a self-starter
• Must possess the ability to lead and coach employees in a team based structure
Preferred Qualifications: • Technical degree preferred
• Understand and practice WCM principals, especially autonomous maintenance and professional maintenance tools and methodology
• Sealer dispense equipment experience desired
