Georgia-Pacific is recruiting a Plant Manager for our sheet plant in Monticello, Iowa.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of a manufacturing operation.
Ensure production and delivery of quality products at lowest costs, consistent with customer requirements, company plans and profit objectives.
Develop new policies, methods, and procedures that add value, impact operation and/or the facility.
Develop Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations for all direct reports.
Manage hourly and supervisory personnel.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Ensure strict adherence to all Safety and Compliance Standards.
Reports directly to the Plant General Manager.
Education:
High school diploma is required;
College degree preferred
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing, industrial or military environment required. Corrugated industry experience preferred.
Must have experience with equipment servicing, planning/scheduling, mechanical maintenance or plant engineering.
Experience of corrugator, converting, printing and/or quality preferred.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
This role regularly requires interpersonal communications such as counseling, directing and delegating, advising, recommending, exchanging information, selling, persuading and influencing, and telephone communications; group communications such as participating in meetings and group discussions and conducting meetings and leading group discussions; and composing written communications such as documentation, internal and external memoranda and letters.
