The Plant Manager provides overall leadership to meet design, budget cost control, scheduling, and safety guidelines via direct supervision of plant staff and effective liaison with the ModSpace branch network and Design Services team. Responsibilities:
The Plant Manager: * Supervises and provides technical and day-to-day leadership to the plant labor force facilitating training, organization, daily operations, and a safe, safety-conscious environment * Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences for production, maintenance, quality assurance, and delivery/receiving * Oversees overall building upgrade of modular buildings through the building structure, existing condition evaluation, and business upgrade coordination of the modular building to assigned code(s) * Is responsible for estimates, construction drawings (via staff), proposals, and deadlines * Is responsible for material and time control for reporting departments * Is responsible for final technical and budget approvals * Is liaison with trades and suppliers and branches * Coordinates inbound and outbound deliveries * Plans, maintains, and inventories materials * Coordinates with design, engineering, and permitting * Supports sales calls and sales representatives' efforts * Ensures State, municipality, and company environmential, health, and safety policies are enforced at all times; is responsible for Health, and Safety for facility Qualifications:
A successful candidate: * Holds a Bachelor’s degree with Construction or Engineering preferred or has a minimum of 7 years operations or construction management experience * Has a minimum of 3 years department/site P&L and people management experience * Has a minimum of 10 years modular or construction management experience - strongly preferred * Is detailed oriented * Has a demonstrated ability to adhere and drive compliance to company processes and procedures * Has excellent and accurate interpersonal and communications skills * Is able to effectively read blue prints and interpret building code * Has a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines with a high volume workload * Is PC proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Is able to learn new software * Has experience using Constuctware and Microsoft Project software - preferred * Holds a valid driver’s license * Is able to travel locally up to 15% of the time * Is able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds ModSpace provides a competitive base salary along with a generous benefit package including medical, dental and vision insurance, short and long term disability insurances, life insurance, a 401K with match, and a flexible spending account.
