Polymer Additive Applications Specialist
Description:
The ideal candidate must be a forward positive thinker, know the market needs and requirements, have the ability and the experience to recommend products that meet those needs and requirements, have the ability to adapt quickly to market changes, and have the ability to interact with our customers and staff in a friendly and professional manner. To qualify for this challenging position the candidate must possess a BS degree or higher in a related field of Chemistry, Chemical engineering, or material sciences with more than 5 years experience of industrial hands-on experiences in the related fields.
Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our Polymer Additives’ product lines: How they work, under what types of conditions they are to be used, chemistry, FDA status, EU restrictions and requirements, and all other vital information related to our Polymer Additives’ product lines.
Respond to customer questions in an accurate and timely manner providing solutions and product recommendations.
Communicate opportunities to our technical department and our sales force with information that is complete, timely, and specific in order to facilitate the completions of projects and the closing of sales.
Look for new opportunities that would enhance our presence in both current and new markets.
Maintain quality written records of all correspondence and keep appropriate company files updated on a consistent and timely basis.
Set up written goals and timelines to meet the goals.
Requirements:
Requirements
The successful candidate must be a permanent resident or citizen of US.
Must have a track-record that demonstrates success of working with polymers and polymer additives, and possess solid scientific background relating to the chemistry of both polymers and polymer additives.
Must be capable of handling multiple projects/tasks at the same time, demonstrate creative thinking and good analytical skills, and can execute projects independently without supervision.
Experience with technical proposal or report writing is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines and handling multiple projects and assignments.
Strong work ethic, good team player and able to handle pressure.
Work out of the Piedmont, SC facility and be willing to travel on an as needed basis.
