The primary function of this position is to provide shift relief coverage for Operations and Maintenance Supervisors within the Precipitation Department. This position is also responsible for contractor activity within the department.
The position will offer leadership and technical skill to insure the safe, effective, and economical operational and maintenance services for the Precipitation area equipment, facilities, and ground to ensure continuity of plant production with minimum downtime and provides the technical support at a standard consistent with long-term operational objectives.
Strong Internal Candidate IdentifiedBasic Qualifications * High school diploma or GED required, with additional education preferred.
* Minimum of 1-3 years in a supervisory/management position in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong leadership skills in safety and human relations including the ability to influence, persuade, and motivate subordinates.
* Ability to conform poor performance or misuse and abuse of company equipment.
* Strong knowledge of labor contract and existing local agreements and handle first step grievance in a manner that protects the company interest and the rights of the employee. Preferred Qualifications * Formal training after high school, plus 6-8 years of desirable work experience
