Pricing Analyst Description
This position reports to the Marketing Manager and supports the marketing department providing pricing analysis, determining pricing adjustments. Manages all customer pricing in SAP, including monitoring and correcting pricing discrepancies for US, Mexico and Canada. Coordinates with customer service and sales force the resolution of pricing discrepancies, and generates necessary reports to review and assure the efficiency
Main responsibilities include:
* Provide support to the organization to assure accurate pricing in SAP including price exceptions.
* Perform weekly and monthly PRISMA sales reports
* Update/Maintain Direct and Distribution List prices in SAP
* Develop custom SAP reports using standard SAP reporting funtions.
* Ability to use pivot tables to analyze and answer basic business pricing questions.
* Perform ongoing Price Monitoring (Below Limit)
* Seek resolution with Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Materials Planning, and Marketing on price discrepancies and invoice issues.
* Coach and train internal and external customers in support of data integrity and processes.
* Ensure compliance of BASF Policies and Procedures and EMC Guidelines.
* Assist with KPI's depicting the quality and efficiency of pricing processes and performance.
* Promote "zero price error" mindset without losing focus on external customer.
* Collaborate on improving and standardizing business best practices process across groups on sales/pricing policies, new product initiation, customer rebates etc.
* Ensure that negotiated prices are entered into Systems without error.
* Highest level contributing knowledge of SAP pricing systems to marketing team, in addition to process expertise such as Standard Purchase Order Processing, etc.
Qualifications
* BS in Accounting or Business required.
* 3-4 years of experience with SAP in pricing, materials management or plant operations
* Advance knowledge in SAP required
* Expertise in Excel specifically pivot table, lookup and reference functions.
* Experience with Prisma, Avenue, COGNOS and CSIS preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Motivated, positive, self-starter who works very efficiently and independently with minimal direction or guidance on routine matters.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a certain degree of ambiguity.
