1102584 Principal Product Marketing Specialist, Safety This position focuses on outbound marketing activities with emphasis on Safety products within the Control & Safety group. The group's role is the commercialization of Control & Safety offerings, primarily Foxboro DCS, and Triconex brands and related Services.
Responsibilities The incumbent will interact with other Product Management resources, regional marketing, Sales and other functions to: * Plan, develops and implements marketing plans and activities including identification of market, estimates of sales volume and profits, and pricing and margin strategies/goals for specific product (lines) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. * Collaborates with a variety of functional areas to develop and provide product/program definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities. * Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. * Provides pre- and post-sale marketing support to direct and indirect sales channels as appropriate. * In conjunction with Product Management, oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, trends and selling strategies and identifies customer needs. * Supports Product Management to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s) based on internal and external needs and capabilities, including market size, user needs and available technology. * Prepares and guides objectives and schedules for the development and marketing for all phases of the product/program, including new product introduction, to ensure maximum penetration of market segment. * Plan, prioritize and produce supporting collateral, sales support tools and demos * Coordinate, produce, and participate in all aspects of Product introductions * Prepare and deliver internal and external webinars * Develop and implement website content * May coordinate technical assistance on all assigned products, systems, and services. * Makes presentations/demonstrations to sales personnel and customers that highlight features, benefits, and the application of the product(s). * Documents and disseminates appropriate product and service application information. * Supports Product Management in qualifying customer defined application with respect to assigned products and services. Initiate document requests incorporating new product data; monitors approved documentation to assure consistency of product intent vs. design trade-offs. Ensures documentation contains the necessary technical and strategic detail to facilitate introduction plans. * Works closely with Communications and Sales personnel to ensure timely and effective development, production and use of sales plans, product promotions, press releases and technical literature. * Audit the success of new product introductions; facilitate enhancement programs, as required. * Recommends customs, when required, and pursues pricing and documentation. * Conduct sales training and participate in trade shows. Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent market experience. Post-graduate coursework may be desirable.
Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of 9 years of related experience.
