Principal UX Interaction Designer - Mobile Strategy
One of the top Financial Services firms in Boston is looking for a Principal level UX Designer who will create the next generation of Mobile tools and interfaces within the financial space.
The User Experience Design team at the firm is responsible for designing some of the most widely utilized financial software online; their award-winning websites, mobile applications and internal workstations. The 100+ person team of elite user experience professionals works collaboratively with the business and technology teams to design and deliver online experiences that enable our customers' financial success. As an internal agency within the organization, they are entrepreneurial, creative driven, and value big ideas and innovation over conformity.
In this role, you'll be responsible for helping envision where mobile is going, and how they can build experiences that evolve to meet the needs of this rapidly changing technology. This is a great opportunity not only to do outstanding work, but to help define how that work gets done.
Ccreativity is needed to scope, architect, wireframe, design and launch these experiences that will clearly and effectively communicate the necessary information in an engaging manner. They are ideally someone with mobile experience, deep knowledge in their discipline, and an understanding of the technologies and context that make for a good mobile experience.
Responsibilities
Help define and execute on the guiding principles for a great customer experience across mobile and touch interface devices.
Provide thought leadership in user experience; contribute ideas, knowledge and insights on emerging trends in user experience design
Collaborate with a team of other information architects, designers, editors, researchers, usability specialists, engineers, and creative directors to tackle complex projects of varying size
Serve as the client's primary contact point to clarify and refine goals, target users and identify metrics
Ensure design team efforts are in sync with the client's business goals, expectations and budget
Develop and/or participate in the development of user personas and scenarios
Define site/application structures and create site maps, wireframes and user flows charts
Work closely with our usability team to test and refine designs and prototypes
Partner with our development team to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation
Education and Experience
· Bachelor's Degree
· 5+ years experience in developing internet applications
