Serve as a resource for designers and application programmers. Oversee checking for all projects in the Jacksonville office.
Length and Specific Experience/Skills Required: 10 years of railroad signal design and engineering related experience. At least 5 years of design checking for Class 1 railroad signal work.
Mission Assure the performance and the management of signalling design process including design and verification in accordance with industry and company standards
Accountabilities Contribute to the management of the design team and the design and production check of signalling systems by production of project scope, detailed signalling scheme plans, signalling circuits including cable core plans, bonding diagrams, power supply and/or power reticulation Contribute to the drawing management process including the production of CAD drafting of electrical and mechanical designs, develop and manage a library of drawings for future use, update and alter drawings as requested Assure the production of detailed design documentation and specifications and System configuration and interconnection of system components for signalling schemes Ensure all documents produced are issued and controlled in accordance with company TMS processes and the Configuration Management system Contribute to the preparation of relay interlocking designs and Processor based interlocking data reflecting current and client signalling practice Contribute to production, reading and understanding of Signalling Control Tables Attend site and assist in preparation of detailed site survey reports
