Summary: Responsible for developing and improving the manufacturing processes surrounding the production of Thermo Formed products

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with management, technicians and operators to continually improve manufacturing processes(Decrease cycle times/optimize production, maximize throughput rate, increase product quality, and minimize scrap) and troubleshooting processing ate and maintain accurate engineering/process documentation such as BOMs, specifications, Process Flow diagrams. Establish set-up and processing parameters based on material, machine capabilities. Develop procedures to ensure consistent processing of product on all shifts. Monitor and review daily production efficiencies with Production Manager on machine/process to ensure consistent processing. Perform specified design of experiments and establish capability studies. Participate in documenting capital equipment justification.

Provide input and make recommendations on involvement with production/plant expansion and equipment upgrades. Develop training programs for technicians and operators.

Education/Experience:
B.S. in Mech or Industrial(}>\}>Mfg Eng or 5 to 10 yrs experience in Mech or Process Engineering in an Thermoforming or mfg environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of statistics and practical application. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects at the same time. Ability to work in a hands-on environment.

Language Skills: Must be fluent in English

Mathematical Skills:Must be extremely accurate with numbers. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides; use common fractions and decimals.

Computer Skills: Must be proficient with MS Excel/Access/Word.
