Process Engineer
Job Title: Process Engineer Description: The prime objective of this position is to provide technical support to manufacturing in order to reduce waste, improve product consistency, increase Overall Equipment Efficiency, provide technical support to plant projects and to ensure quality standards are met. Actively participate in Projects on Makers and Stearate Lines, interacting with production crews and upper management levels. Monitor Production lines on a daily basis to ensure: 1) products meet customer requirements, 2) KPI's are met, 3) process is stable, and 4) levels of waste are controlled to a minimum. Extensive use of Statistic Process Control tools will be required. Assist in development and maintenance of Making and Conversion specifications, standardized work processes and ISO9001 documentation, 6-STEP Program. Assist in workforce and Supervisors technical trainings.
Assist in customer complaint investigation and translate customer requirements to the manufacturing floor.
Develop and implement new test methods as required to improve overall efficiency of the Quality Control Lab. Perform raw material and final products tests interchangeably with QC Technician. Job Responsibilities: This position requires frequent interaction with manufacturing operators, maintenance staff and management to carry out normal duties. The incumbent will occasionally be required to work on off shifts including weekends to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Some overnight travel is involved while working with suppliers, customers and R&D. The incumbent must be a self-starter and show strong commitment to continual improvement and WCM philosophies in order to progress in his/her career within the group.
