SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The ideal Process Engineer will improve productivity and quality through methods of process improvements, SPC, improving cycle times and tracking cavitation of molds. The Process Engineer coordinates with Operations, Quality, Sales, Technicians and other engineering disciplines with the Operation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process management including establishing improvements from inception to commissioning and auditing to track those improvements.
Able to travel to customers to support manufacturing (10%)
Work with plant functional groups such as tooling, R&D and operations to foster improvement and growth.
Work with Tooling Engineer and R&D in new tool development
Develop and implement cost saving measures on current and future production methods, processes and machines.
Monitor plant efficiencies and utilization of equipment.
Contribute to training of Operations personnel.
Provided detailed training to setup and utility personnel on a monthly basis.
Hands on position that can also direct activities in a multi-faceted environment.
Use process capability studies and other statistical techniques for identifying and eliminating sources of process variability.
Develop and maintain project list and activity log while working to improve and support daily production requirements.


Requirements:

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline with 5 years experience.
Preferred: Plastics Engineering Degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2-4 years experience in the closure industry with mulit-caity molds and de-coupled molding.
Preferred: DOE experience, demonstrated troubleshooting experience with Cincinnati, Husky and Nissei and plus.

SKILLS:
Required: Injection molding troubleshooting. Able to effectively prioritize tasks and be self directed. Strong commitment to safety. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite. Strong written and communication skills. High attention to detail.
Preferred: Blow Molding process trouble shooting.
