Job Description :


The Chomerics Division, part of Parker Hannifin’s Seal Group, is the world’s largest manufacturer of electromagnetic interference shielding materials. This opportunity is at our Fairport NY location which designs and fabricates precision injection molded plastic products, specializing in unique, first ever applications molded from high-end engineering grade resins. Position Summary:
Responsible for technically supporting the molding operation. This person analyzes and troubleshoots machinery, making the necessary process adjustments to consistently produce parts that meet the company’s quality standards.

Essential Functions:



* Proactively contribute to the success of the molding department by ensuring quality standards, production schedules, and established standards are met.
* Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
* Ensures that machine setting variations are recorded and proper according to the set-up sheet.
* Troubleshoot quality problems such as splay, flash, heat sinks.
* Make adjustments to sprue pickers as needed.
* Purge machine with styrene for safety reasons.
* Cleans molds and properly lubricates.
* Complete all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
* Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
* Assist PQT and Material Handler with parts packing, weighing, housekeeping, and maintaining safety standards.
* Communicates any problems to the Maintenance Department and Shift leader for maintenance related problems.
* Other duties and projects as required.


Job Requirements :




* High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
* Must have experience/education equivalent to at least 2 years of processing in the plastic injection molding industry.
* Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.
* Flexibility with shift schedule, ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. This position will rotate hours between 1st and 2nd shift.
