Process Technician - Injection Molding
CPP Global, manufacturer of plastic consumer products is an injection molding company seeking experienced Plastics Process Technicians for our Asheboro, Greensboro and Mocksville locations. These Process Technicians will be expected to be hands-on process technicians.
Monitor quality of set ups, mold cleanings, and technical work performed by set-up technicians and others on shift.
Ensure that all jobs are running to standard cycle and process standards and monitor accuracy, completeness and legitimacy of documented processing changes.
Assist and train other technicians on shift as required.
Set-up and cycles in new tools with assistance from inspection, ME and the toolroom.
Works with inspection on dimensional or surface defects and makes adjustments accordingly.
Analyzes and makes recommendations for improving tools.
Establishes molding parameters along with engineering for all production and test tools.
Works toward best utilization of equipment.
Records all pertinent data for each production job before the job finishes (i.e. set-up, tools and fixtures required, shot weight).
Operates tracker-monitoring system accurately at all times.
Coordinates with Toolroom supervisor and assists toolroom in changing of cavities, slides or cores, as needed.
Requirements:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and understand part prints.
Use of quality equipment such as; OGP, comparator, calipers and gauges/fixtures.
with primary responsibility for the dimensional quality of parts produced.
