The Disk Drive Filtration Technologies has been providing integrated particle filtration and adsorbent solutions for the computer industry for over 20 years. Beginning with applications in main frame computers, down through the advent of hard disk drives, Gore has delivered filtration and adsorbent products for all types of drive configurations. Gore introduced clean, high performing, expanded PTFE solutions to the industry and has continued to improve and advance the science behind filtration and adsorbent products in hard disk drives as the demand for smaller, better performing products has continued to evolve.
In this Process Technician job at Gore DDFT, you will:
* Support the manufacturing line on process and technical issues on regular basis to ensure normal production. * Be a team member involved in transferring existing rotary die cutting and flatbed die cutting processes from Gore US. * Discover process improvements opportunity and make them happen with Engineer's direction and support. * Partner with process engineers to implement the process improvements to enhance product quality, yield, cost down, etc. * Assist Engineer in process evaluations, sample builds, control lot follow up, operator training etc. * Use SPC run charts to evaluate process variation. * Troubleshoot and refine manufacturing processes * Data collection for process related issue for analysis reporting. * Process related issues (machine, tooling, tester, material, operation, yield) triggering and escalation * 3 Shifts rotation is needed
Qualifications
* * Mechanical or Electrical Engineering related education background in technical college or above. * Demonstrated mechanical/electrical aptitude required * Solid hand-on experience in similar position with 5 years experience or above. * Previous experience with ultrasonic welding, DI water cleaning, flatbed/rotary die cutting is preferred. * Basic understanding of ISO9000 system. * Basic knowledge with statistical analysis tool, SPC, CPk etc. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings required. Skillful with engineering drawing software Preferred: Auto-CAD or Solidwork is preferred. * Basic oral English and good written and reading ability in English is preferred. * Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse skills, education and backgrounds
